An Indian for Two Days…..

I would be writing today no new thought which is been not said in past or present by many. This thought has been said thousand times but we as all time great Indians aren’t listening.

Well this thought came in to my mind while coming back home last night, when I saw so many shops selling national flag of India & multiple items, on the eve of National Republic Day. From what I saw it struck to me that many people becoming suddenly Indians.

Many of them desperate to buy national flag, and accessories associated with national flag colors. I wonder why people are so eager to become Indian just a day before republic day, and I have seen the same scene before Independence Day too.

May be it’s their way of showing respect to nation or own way of celebrating national republic day & I certainly respect spirit of these people to certain extent. Many part of country people don’t even realizes the difference between Republic Day and Independence Day, for them these two days are nothing but another holiday and these two important days have no meaning them. Buying national flag, playing loud patriotic music on the streets, giving long speeches, wishing republic day or independence day  by SMS, Email, social platform does all this make any sense, or make change to our life’s. Well many of us are fail to do one basic thing, the right thing that is, “WE DO NOT VOTE”

We do everything, but we do not vote. We are so eager to show the respect to nation, to people, world our patriotism only on these two days. But we don’t do the right thing on one day, when it matters the most to us. On Election Day. It not only matters to us but effect us largely from every angle to our life. Now the most common excuse will occurs,
What common men do?
What I can do alone?
How much my single vote makes any difference to nation?

We great People of India note I am not calling us Indians; I am calling us people of India. Because truly I believe we don’t become Indians by showing respect, giving & sharing wishes, buying  national flag, wearing the national color accessories, singing patriotic songs and cracking firecrackers. We become Indians by doing the right thing, VOTE.  Why we are not willing to make change for good in our lives, for our society and for our nation?  Why we as individual failed to realize the power of vote? Or sub chalta hai attitude is so much dissolved in our self.

The Republic of India itself gives us the strongest power to Make Change at the tip of our finger.  We should vote and vote for the right candidate, we would say all the same candidate, all corrupt. But at least take one side by voting. By not only you are nowhere and no one.  When you vote, you have right to say, right to blame if candidate is bad or good. If you don’t vote, you lose the right to blame anyone for not doing their job correctly. So I request all my people of India to stop being or trying to be Indian for just two days and be an Indian always to bring change.

I consider myself to be fortunate enough and proud to be part of new initiative called United Votes of India (www.unitedvotesofindia.com). Where we not only educate people to vote, giving them information about their constituency,  Member of Parliament (MP), Member of legislative Assembly (MLA), and municipal constituency. What most unique part we do is we make people aware of their candidate, whom they are choosing. We encourage people to discuss, share about the candidate who are to become there representative. People will discuss and debate and they will do internal online voting against the each candidate to decide the best person who is right candidate to represent them. And finally all the members are bound to vote in real election for the candidate who has emerges as winner in online voting done by them. It’s like making voting bloc to chose and vote for right candidate. Of course there is no surety about the candidate performance or work he/she will do, don’t do. But it’s about taking a stand at one side; it’s about making a choice.

See for yourself if the concept of United Votes of India (www.unitedvotesofindia.com) makes sense to you, and if you truly believe in it, please I would encourage all to spread the word.

Because when we vote; Shining IndiaGrowing IndiaAmazing India and Incredible India these words will contain any meaning in them.

Wishing you all Happy Republic Day

Something from my Heart........
